Case Study

Walsh Electronic Security partners with Walsh Door & Hardware on a regular basis to provide the best solution. For example, a traditional door access control system utilizes centralized control panels with unintelligent card readers at the door. In many cases, each reader is wired back to a centralized control panel. In addition, several devices on the door must be wired back to the control panel such as the request to exit switch, door position switch, the lock and card reader.

In some cases, a better solution is to provide an IP based lock-set. These locks are powered over Ethernet (Cat 5/6 network wire) and transmit data over Cat 5/6 network wires. The request to exit switch, card reader, lock, and door position switch are all integrated into the lock-set. This will often lower installation costs by putting all the components in one device.

Walsh Electronic Security collaborates with Walsh Door & Hardware to provide cost savings solutions.
